Jaclyn Strominger: Hello, everybody, and welcome to another amazing episode of Unstoppable Success!
Jaclyn Strominger: The podcast where we hear from amazing leaders, and we hear their tips, their tricks, their insights on how they have had unstoppable success, so you can have unstoppable success. I'm your host, Jaclyn Strominger, and today.
Jaclyn Strominger: I'm so excited to introduce you to Lancelot Theobald. Let me just tell you a little bit. So today's guest, alright.
Jaclyn Strominger: Now, let me just say, the definition of reinvention in motion
Jaclyn Strominger: Lancelot went from professional athlete to award-winning actor, producer, best-selling author, and creator of a groundbreaking… God, I can't speak today… ground…
Jaclyn Strominger: breaking methodology that's transforming the industry. You've seen his work, hopefully, on Security Guard movie. You will better go watch the new movie that's coming out, The Veteran, and by the time this airs, it should be out, so go watch it.
Jaclyn Strominger: He is recognized, globally. He's starring in the upcoming, as I said, the release of the veteran, but what makes Lancelot truly powerful isn't just what he's
Jaclyn Strominger: build, it's what he teaches.
Jaclyn Strominger: Through his Stuck to Unstoppable framework, he's helping high performers break through limitations and redefine what's possible. Lancelot, welcome to Unstoppable Success! You're livin' it!
Lancelot Theobald: Woo! Man!
Lancelot Theobald: That was just an outstanding, intro.
Jaclyn Strominger: You're welcome.
Lancelot Theobald: stand back, yes, and you hear it, it's like, wow, that's… that's interesting. But I love the name of Unstoppable Success, and mine is, you know, Unstoppable, and, you know, the power of reinvention. Those are all key buzzwords, basically saying, being the best that you could possibly be, that's right.
Lancelot Theobald: Yep. Realigning yourself with yourself, yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: And there's something that, you know, that I, you know, I want to say to share, because, I mean, obviously, you went from,
Jaclyn Strominger: athlete.
Jaclyn Strominger: You know, author, you've transformed, you've reinvented yourself.
Jaclyn Strominger: And I guess my question to you is, is what was that moment where you realized
Jaclyn Strominger: You needed to reinvent.
Jaclyn Strominger: What was that… what was that moment? And because a lot of people, I think, never… they think they need to… they don't realize that they need to reinvent. So what was it for you that was, like.
Jaclyn Strominger: I gotta do something different.
Lancelot Theobald: That's a great question, and thank you for asking that. For me, it always starts with purpose.
Lancelot Theobald: Everything starts with purpose. And I understood my purpose early on in life.
Lancelot Theobald: You know, I got into a plane crash, train accident, car accident, and almost drowned, and watched a friend of mine's drown right in front of me.
Lancelot Theobald: All within 6 months of each other.
Lancelot Theobald: And sometimes… not sometimes, when things like that happen.
Lancelot Theobald: It's not what happens to you, it's the narration that you place on what happens to you. And fortunately enough, at 17 years old, I took what happened to me as a sign that God had His hand on my shoulder and wanted something for me to do.
Lancelot Theobald: So, I had a dream.
Lancelot Theobald: And the dream says, you've been chosen to be a beacon of positive light and energy to people around the world.
Lancelot Theobald: So at 17 years old, you don't understand what that means, but you do know that God has got His hand on your shoulder.
Lancelot Theobald: So, everything I've done
Lancelot Theobald: has been to be the best that I could possibly be, so that then I can find my purpose. And I always thought my purpose, and still do until this day, is to find the platform to be able to do what God really wanted me to do, and that's a beacon of positive light and energy to people around the world.
Lancelot Theobald: So, whenever I get into a situation, and I feel as though this
Lancelot Theobald: Whatever I'm doing is not fitting within the purpose of what God has made for me.
Lancelot Theobald: It's time for me to pivot, change, and do something else. And the thing I always listen to is the inner voice inside of me.
Lancelot Theobald: Love it. One of the things I like to teach is you have to listen to the inner voice, because that inner voice is really God, and God is you, and you are God. And it's telling you that you have more to do.
Lancelot Theobald: It's telling you that you have to get up and do a thing. Now, most people don't listen to it.
Lancelot Theobald: I listened to it.
Lancelot Theobald: and then I make the steps to make changes. And that's how I've been able
Lancelot Theobald: every time I get in a situation, it doesn't feel right, or it doesn't feel like I'm in alignment with my purpose, I then move on to the next thing. And that's how I've been able to reinvent myself into so many different things.
Jaclyn Strominger: Amen, is what I'm gonna say.
Jaclyn Strominger: So, listeners, I actually want you to really take this. This is a really key thing. You know, you've heard me mention this before on the show, you hear me talk about this, but purpose and alignment is so critical to your unstoppable success.
Jaclyn Strominger: we really, you know, it's funny, this morning I was walking, and I listen to books a lot of times while I walk, and one of the books I'm listening to right now is The Success Principles, right? So, great book, if you haven't read it, I'll put that in the show notes, but…
Jaclyn Strominger: One of the things that… that…
Jaclyn Strominger: so many people talk about, like, I don't know, name the book, right? It is about…
Jaclyn Strominger: how you speak to yourself and hearing that self, but really knowing your purpose and having the vision for where you want to go. And alignment is… and alignment comes out with values. You have to be aligned, and how do you find alignment? Look at your values and see if it's aligning with what you're doing, right?
Lancelot Theobald: Yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: And so, this is so important, listeners, like.
Jaclyn Strominger: really… if you dive into that purpose and dive into your values, you know, and if you need help, you know, make sure you either reach out to myself or to Lancelot, because either one of us can help you with that.
Jaclyn Strominger: So, I have a question, though, you know, on this, because something that you just said, too, about that inner voice and listening to that, that is so powerful. So.
Jaclyn Strominger: What do you think stops people from listening to that inner voice?
Lancelot Theobald: Fair.
Lancelot Theobald: Fair. Fear of success, fear of failure, Fear of… of being judged.
Lancelot Theobald: These are all things… worry, regret. There's all kinds of things that society and your environment will push onto you if you allow it.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Lancelot Theobald: And those things are very strong, because those create emotions, and those emotions are what run you. And you start feeling anxious, or you start feeling fear, and people retreat from that.
Lancelot Theobald: And our bodies and our minds' whole purpose is to illuminate fear.
Lancelot Theobald: illuminate anxiety, because those things take you out of your comfort zone. Our brain is there to make us comfortable. The only problem is…
Lancelot Theobald: There's no success, there's no growth in the comfort zone.
Lancelot Theobald: So, you have to do the work consistently
Lancelot Theobald: each day to reprogram your mind to be able to do whatever it is that you want. That doesn't just happen.
Lancelot Theobald: And the reason why people don't is because of the environment, the people that are surrounding them. Negative.
Lancelot Theobald: negative. They're telling you without telling you, you can't, you don't, you won't. And the other thing is, when you're not reliable to yourself.
Lancelot Theobald: You cannot create the confidence enough to be able to do and align yourself, or realign yourself with the greatness that's locked inside of you. So it's self-work, but everybody can do it.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Lancelot Theobald: Everybody can do it.
Jaclyn Strominger: It is true, everybody can do the work. So, I'm curious, when you went, you know, from athlete, let's say, to actor.
Jaclyn Strominger: You know, did you have that fear inside of you?
Lancelot Theobald: No.
Lancelot Theobald: And, again, because I've always felt that God had His hand on my shoulder. Everything I've done, I've never had fear.
Lancelot Theobald: And that's one of the true blessings of understanding and having that talk with God early on in life. It gave me the confidence to understand that there's nothing that you can do.
Lancelot Theobald: So, every situation I've ever gone into, I've gone into it with the same formula.
Lancelot Theobald: And I know, if I…
Lancelot Theobald: follow the five keys to Reinvention, which I created a book behind that, there's nothing I can't do. And it's staying consistent. And as I've gotten older, I have tweaked, I have adjusted, and I've read, and I've learned more about the mindset.
Lancelot Theobald: So, What I've learned now is that it's the small things that you do consistently that make
Lancelot Theobald: massive internal shifts. So what that means to me is, if I can get up every morning, and work.
Lancelot Theobald: just a little bit, to better myself, a little better than I was the day before, then if I continue to do that day in, day out, week in, week out, month in, month out.
Lancelot Theobald: By the end of the year, I'm 38% better than I was the year before.
Lancelot Theobald: That's powerful.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right. So when you say working on yourself every single morning, what does that look like for you?
Lancelot Theobald: Alright? Well, I get up in the morning.
Lancelot Theobald: Now, I get up in the morning, 4 o'clock in the morning.
Jaclyn Strominger: Every time you go to sleep.
Lancelot Theobald: Now, see, somebody else ask me that. I went to bed at 11 yesterday, because I had a podcast, all we in Yonkers, but… Excuse me.
Jaclyn Strominger: Bless you.
Lancelot Theobald: Excuse me.
Jaclyn Strominger: Let's.
Lancelot Theobald: Excuse me, okay.
Jaclyn Strominger: Three times a charm.
Lancelot Theobald: Yes.
Lancelot Theobald: So, I try now, because I understand that it affects how you look when you don't get your sleep. I try to get to bed, like, in the bed by 9 o'clock at least 2-3 times a week.
Lancelot Theobald: I can't do it all 7, but I am trying to get to bed 9, 9.30, in order to get that rest, in order to be able to get up and be productive at 4 and 5 o'clock in the morning. But I get up at 4 o'clock.
Lancelot Theobald: And the first thing I do, and this is something I started to implement just a few weeks ago from reading, is I get up, and before I even, have fully went from the unconscious to the conscious.
Lancelot Theobald: I say to myself, I am powerful, I am enough.
Lancelot Theobald: And greatness is my destiny. And I say that before I even hit my feet to the ground.
Lancelot Theobald: So, I have already taking control and taking command of my mind. Because if you don't do it.
Lancelot Theobald: Then your environment will take care of it, your fears, and your memories.
Lancelot Theobald: So, you don't want to take anything That happened to you yesterday.
Lancelot Theobald: Negative or positive, into the morning.
Lancelot Theobald: You start a new slate.
Lancelot Theobald: You write your new chapter every single morning, and how I do that is I implant forcefully.
Lancelot Theobald: The first thoughts of the day.
Lancelot Theobald: And then, I start feeling emotions. Okay, what am I feeling?
Lancelot Theobald: If I'm feeling anxious, then I have to say to myself, I'm feeling anxious this morning. I can't control what happened yesterday.
Lancelot Theobald: But what I can control is how I feel today.
Lancelot Theobald: And make no mistake, it's not about being happy all the time, although I'm a happy-go-lucky person. That's not the goal.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Lancelot Theobald: The goal is to be stable.
Lancelot Theobald: Even.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Lancelot Theobald: That's very important.
Jaclyn Strominger: You said that. You know what, I'm so glad that you said that. So you… so you say, I love that, you know, being stable. So then, alright, so you're… and I love the, you know, the manifestation and the affirmations that you're saying to yourself in the morning, it's really true.
Jaclyn Strominger: So, you do that, and you get up, are you… do you… do you read a book? Are you… do you pick something, a topic to be working on?
Jaclyn Strominger: Throughout the… the…
Jaclyn Strominger: Today? Today, or is there… you know, like, I… like, there's certain things that… that, you know, that I've heard, like, people will say, okay, what do you want to be learning right now? What's something… so, like, pick something that you want to learn in the first… in, like, 90 days.
Jaclyn Strominger: work on that for a period of time. So how are you getting… what are you doing to get that better?
Lancelot Theobald: Well, in the morning is my mental workouts, and I don't really deal with what I'm trying to learn. I deal with the restructuring of the mental, the mindset, because the mindset is the most powerful thing that we own.
Lancelot Theobald: And if we can master the mindset, that is the greatest gift that we can give to ourselves. So, my morning routine…
Lancelot Theobald: consists from, like, 4 o'clock all the way up to 7, because I believe 7 a.m. is the cutoff point.
Lancelot Theobald: That's when everybody else gets up in the morning. So, you must do your mental exercises before 7. So, after I…
Lancelot Theobald: put the thoughts in my head, then I put my feet on the ground, and I make my bed. And I make my bed because making your bed represents organization, represents power, it represents structure. So, I make my bed. Then I go downstairs, I have a glass of water.
Lancelot Theobald: And the water represents waking up the awareness.
Lancelot Theobald: Being in the moment, being present, looking out the window, seeing nature, and understanding that you were blessed with another day.
Lancelot Theobald: Because a lot of times, we wake up, and then we rush right into the future. We're worried about what's gonna happen with the meeting, what's… somebody's gonna not like you. All of these things are imaginary, because they haven't happened yet.
Lancelot Theobald: So, you spend so much time in the future, you're not in the present. So, I practice being in the present in the morning. I go downstairs, I do a little meditation.
Lancelot Theobald: I get on my couch, and I relax the body.
Lancelot Theobald: Once I've relaxed the body, I have stoism that I listen to.
Lancelot Theobald: And I put it on for 30 to 45 minutes.
Lancelot Theobald: And I listen, I go back, I listen again, I go back. I don't just listen, I listen to inhale.
Lancelot Theobald: inhale everything so that I then can come to you on this podcast and give it to you so we can then give it to everybody else. So I am not just listening.
Lancelot Theobald: I'm inhaling.
Lancelot Theobald: everything. So, I'll stay on one take, like, 2 and 3 months.
Lancelot Theobald: And rewind it, and go back, and rewind it, and go back, until it's a part of me.
Lancelot Theobald: Once I do that, then I write my gratitude.
Lancelot Theobald: I have… I'm almost done. I have… and this is, like, the third New York City book. I have about.
Jaclyn Strominger: Yep.
Lancelot Theobald: All of that. All of that. Wow. Yup. Every morning, I write my gratitude.
Lancelot Theobald: Then I have affirmations right up here that I go to every morning. I was built for impact.
Lancelot Theobald: And every room I enter rises because I'm there. I say that 10 times.
Lancelot Theobald: Then, I'm a firm believer that you can't work on the mental without the physical.
Lancelot Theobald: So, I do 100 squats on a slant board every single morning, and I do 100 dips. That doesn't include my workout, but that's so that I understand that mental and the physical and the emotional all are correlated and are connected.
Lancelot Theobald: then I start the day. But I do everything before 7AM, because that's the cutoff point. And when you give yourself a cutoff point, you don't waste time.
Lancelot Theobald: You tend to work harder, because you know you guys said… Now, granted, today, it was like 7-10, and every day you're not going to be able to accomplish it.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right. Right.
Lancelot Theobald: But as long as you have that cutoff point, it becomes urgent for you.
Lancelot Theobald: And that's how I do my mornings.
Jaclyn Strominger: I absolutely love that. I love the affirmations. Okay, so now I'm kind of curious, when do you work out?
Lancelot Theobald: Workout is in the afternoon. The most important thing for me is the mental workout first now. I've been working out my entire life.
Lancelot Theobald: The mental workouts, I've just started within the last…
Lancelot Theobald: 2 years. Okay. So that's the most important thing for me. And then I will go to the gym based off of my schedule, sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes in the evening. But I still go to school, I mean, go to the gym.
Jaclyn Strominger: Huh? School. It's like going to school.
Lancelot Theobald: Yeah, it is, it is. You know, I was just talking about this yesterday. The gem represents for me the animalistic instinct that you must
Lancelot Theobald: Keep inside of you. When I go to the gym, I'm very focused. You know, I'm a former professional athlete. I have that animal instinct that always should be there that you should never see, but it should be rumbling underneath you at all times.
Lancelot Theobald: Because people can feel it.
Lancelot Theobald: people can feel it. So when I go to the gym, I go…
Lancelot Theobald: with, I'm trying to kill the weights.
Lancelot Theobald: You know what I mean? When I played football, I was trying to knock your head off your body. That's how football was back then. You know what I mean? So, I keep that animalistic instinct.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right?
Lancelot Theobald: And I use it in the gym, and then you don't see it anymore. Right. But it's underneath everything, and that's that yin and the yang. You know what I mean? It keeps you powerful.
Jaclyn Strominger: So, listeners, I want you to understand, this is a… the mind… mindset work is so important. So, you know, whether you follow Lancelot's protocol, or work it in, but there's somewhere in that morning routine, and I always, you know.
Jaclyn Strominger: I tend to say the bookending your day. So, your morning routine, your evening routine. And it's not always going to be perfect, we have to remember that.
Jaclyn Strominger: But have some morning routine that you get up and do, and it puts your brain into motion. You know, not looking at our phones, not, like, those first few hours of the day, so it's really, like…
Jaclyn Strominger: You know, what you said, you know, it's… it's being able to look and… and have that,
Jaclyn Strominger: Affirmation and what you tell yourself, it's so incredibly important.
Jaclyn Strominger: It's not… you will not see a change overnight.
Jaclyn Strominger: But it's just like weight. You didn't put weight on overnight, it didn't… it's not like you woke up in the morning and you were all of a sudden 100 pounds heavier. It happened over time, maybe you weren't watching, and the 100 pounds will never come off overnight.
Jaclyn Strominger: I mean, I guess, I guess you have surgery and all those things, but that's…
Lancelot Theobald: History.
Jaclyn Strominger: You know, but, but realistically, it is not going to come off. So, be patient with it. It will, it will change
Jaclyn Strominger: It will change you, for the good.
Lancelot Theobald: dinner.
Jaclyn Strominger: It truly will.
Lancelot Theobald: Yes, and I would say to your… to your listeners, that… Be aware.
Lancelot Theobald: Because it changes you before you even know it.
Lancelot Theobald: And then, when you get into situations, if you stay consistently, it works pretty fast. Yeah. Because I've noticed, on many different occasions, how I respond to other people.
Lancelot Theobald: how people were triggering me at certain points, and now I work on not getting triggered. Yeah. Because, as opposed to reacting.
Lancelot Theobald: You learn to respond to a situation. And they teach you
Lancelot Theobald: you should… you know, when a situation happens, there should be, like, a 10-second delay before you actually allow yourself to respond. Once you have conquered that, then you don't react anymore. People can't push your buttons, because when they push your buttons, they're in control.
Lancelot Theobald: Yeah. So when you start to be aware, you start to see that this stuff works pretty quick.
Lancelot Theobald: You know, my wife sometimes can get me to be pissed off, you know what I mean? Because we've been together so long, and she says certain things. Now I'm able to…
Lancelot Theobald: not react.
Lancelot Theobald: And that shows growth, and that helps her and I's relationship, you know? So it doesn't take as long as you think if you're aware, because it's the small, incremental things that make a lasting impression on yourself, you know?
Jaclyn Strominger: I totally love that. So, one of the things, you know, that you just said about, you know, pausing and taking, like, re… like, you know, think about, like, 10 seconds before you…
Jaclyn Strominger: You, you actually say something. So one thing that, that I was, taught, and it's…
Jaclyn Strominger: whether you're… if you're in a meeting, or let's say you're having a conversation with somebody, you press your fingers together, no one's gonna see you actually pressing your fingers, like, they don't see the press. They might see you're holding your fingers together, like this, you know, which I'm…
Jaclyn Strominger: you know, if you're listening to this, you're… I'm holding my fingers up together. Or you can take your fingers and, like, put them… press them on your leg. Like, when you're talking to somebody, no one's gonna see you pressing them, but you feel it. But if you do that, and you kind of put all 10 fingers on there, on your, you know, you do it, each finger.
Jaclyn Strominger: And you… you wait.
Jaclyn Strominger: It makes you pause.
Lancelot Theobald: Yes, yes.
Lancelot Theobald: I might have to try that. And nobody has to know that that's what you're doing.
Jaclyn Strominger: nobody has to know that's what you're doing. I mean, it's like, you know, it's like I'm… I could be sitting here on my shoulder and go, you know.
Jaclyn Strominger: and I'm just pressing my fingers down. He doesn't necessarily see it, unless I make it.
Lancelot Theobald: Right.
Jaclyn Strominger: You know, anyway, so that was… it's just one way to actually just kind of to calm.
Lancelot Theobald: Yes, yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: And pause before you actually say something.
Jaclyn Strominger: so that… It helps us so that we don't…
Jaclyn Strominger: shoot something out sometimes that we don't…
Lancelot Theobald: don't react, we'll respond. That's the power of a powerful mind, is not allowing situation and circumstances to dictate how you respond.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Lancelot Theobald: You respond, you don't react. Right. And when you have a calm mind, a calm thought process, then you're able to
Lancelot Theobald: respond in the right manner. But when you're hyped, and that cortisol has got you up because somebody's pushed your buttons, you can say or do things that you will regret.
Lancelot Theobald: Right. So, you know, it's very important to control, and that's what the morning routine is. It teaches you how to control your mindset, which is the most powerful thing that you can ever give to yourself.
Jaclyn Strominger: It is so… it's so true. Okay, so I want to go back to you a little bit to your framework, because you've built, you know, stuck to unstoppable system, and there's the 5 Keys to Reinvention, which you've talked about.
Jaclyn Strominger: So, what's one key that people consistently underestimate, but it changes everything when they get it right? I mean, I know we're talking about mindset, but is there something else that, you know, one of those key strategies, you know, five keys to reinvention that people.
Lancelot Theobald: I'll give you one of them, yes.
Lancelot Theobald: Hanging around.
Lancelot Theobald: like-minded people.
Jaclyn Strominger: No.
Lancelot Theobald: That's one of the most important things that you can ever do for yourself.
Lancelot Theobald: Proximate is power.
Lancelot Theobald: Creating the environment of people
Lancelot Theobald: who are going in your direction, who are already doing what you want to do. Because when you surround yourself with that type of frequency.
Lancelot Theobald: With that kind of vibration, It's infectious.
Lancelot Theobald: Proximity is power. And just by being the great Emilio always says, Roman always says, just being around a person that is successful will up your productivity by 10%. Or I think it's 25%, I can't remember. But, at any rate, just being around.
Jaclyn Strominger: those up. Yes.
Lancelot Theobald: It goes up.
Lancelot Theobald: And vice versa.
Lancelot Theobald: Oh, it's 10%, because vice versa, if you surround yourself around negative people, your productivity goes down 20%, so they affect you double.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right.
Lancelot Theobald: So it's very important that you create your environment.
Lancelot Theobald: Some people might say, how do I do that? Well, Here's how you do it.
Lancelot Theobald: There's online groups, Jacqueline has a group.
Lancelot Theobald: And there's many people out there who have groups. I have a group, the New York City Mastermind Experience.
Lancelot Theobald: These are all groups designed and co-corated, curated.
Jaclyn Strominger: There we go.
Lancelot Theobald: Bring people, like-minded people, together, so that they grow together. These are powerful things, powerful tools that if you're really looking to grow, that's the first thing I would do, is get around people that are doing what you want to do already, because they have the formula.
Lancelot Theobald: How did they have the formula? Is they already did it!
Jaclyn Strominger: Right. They've already, yeah, they're… And they're doing it, and I think.
Lancelot Theobald: And they're doing it, yes. Right.
Jaclyn Strominger: Lancelot, I'm so glad that you brought this up. It is so important to…
Jaclyn Strominger: It is to surround yourself with the right people, to elevate… yourself…
Lancelot Theobald: Yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: You know, and I want to share something with you. So, well, first of all.
Jaclyn Strominger: listeners, there are a bunch of groups, so… so I have a school community, brand new school community on… on the platform school, Unstoppable Success.
Jaclyn Strominger: Lancelot talked about his, the New York City Mastermind Experience, which I was actually… was able to participate in twice, being a speaker, which is absolutely fantastic. There's another community that Lancelot and I are both in called the Connected Leaders Academy, which is another amazing,
Jaclyn Strominger: platform with.
Lancelot Theobald: Yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: great people. But one thing I wanted, you know, and I'll put all of those links in the show notes, but one thing that I want to share, too, is… because I literally had this conversation the other day. So…
Jaclyn Strominger: I'm talking with a gentleman, he is a… and I say young, because he's 26 years old. He.
Lancelot Theobald: Crazy.
Jaclyn Strominger: He's a baby.
Jaclyn Strominger: I'm not gonna go in how I met him, because that's a whole other funny experience, but,
Jaclyn Strominger: he has this great company. He's started this marketing company, and…
Jaclyn Strominger: he does, podcast, promotion and production, so he, if you have a podcast, he will help you promote it, also do the production, you can pick and choose different things. And he's developing an app. Okay, so here is the cool thing that he said to me, that I just was like, wow.
Jaclyn Strominger: He's gotta go places.
Jaclyn Strominger: he said, you know, because I asked him, I said, you know, you're young, like, how did you… how are you getting to do all these things? How did you get connected with the guy, the developer who's doing your app? Yeah, and he said, well.
Jaclyn Strominger: and this is… kind of goes to what you said. I was surrounding myself and had a bunch of people that I was talking to, you know, once I…
Jaclyn Strominger: left high school, he didn't go to college. He said that all they wanted to talk about was, like, the weather and sports. None of the people had the same drive that I have, where they wanted to, go and grow, so to speak. And so, I started
Jaclyn Strominger: He said, I curated my own group.
Jaclyn Strominger: he said I… that he, you know, I found, a…
Jaclyn Strominger: somebody who I knew that,
Jaclyn Strominger: also was ambitious in the same age… age bracket that I was in, and then he said I… we then brought two people each to the group, and we kind of vetted people, and next thing you know, we've got a group of 8 people that we get together once a month, and we curated this
Jaclyn Strominger: Powerful group that we've been working together and connecting.
Jaclyn Strominger: And talking about business and things and whatnot every month for…
Jaclyn Strominger: like, a couple years now. And so…
Jaclyn Strominger: It just goes to your point, like, he's… when you do surround yourself with other people that want to go and grow, you will go and grow too.
Lancelot Theobald: grow as well, yes, yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: You will have that success, but it is, it is surrounding yourself with people.
Lancelot Theobald: Yes.
Jaclyn Strominger: that are…
Jaclyn Strominger: and I don't want to say power-hungry as in, like, power… like, I need to be powerful and almighty, but they want more. They…
Lancelot Theobald: growth.
Jaclyn Strominger: Right? And they're ambitious, they're driven, they're similar values and similar drive, right?
Lancelot Theobald: I can't tell you, you know, I just… you know, I have to take off a couple of weeks, from the New York City experience, so I said my goodbyes on Tuesday. I said, I will be back. And one of the things I said was, I learned
Lancelot Theobald: every single week. Now, I'm here, we're co-curating this, this, this, talk show.
Lancelot Theobald: to teach others.
Lancelot Theobald: But I learn every single week that I come out of there, I come out with some nuggets that help me be a better person.
Lancelot Theobald: That is so powerful!
Lancelot Theobald: That is so powerful, and people must understand, Check out…
Lancelot Theobald: The 3 or 4 people that you're surrounded by every day, and that'll dictate who you are and what you're doing.
Lancelot Theobald: And if you're the smartest person in that group.
Lancelot Theobald: Get the hell out of that group and find another one.
Lancelot Theobald: Because it's about growth.
Lancelot Theobald: Right.
Jaclyn Strominger: It is about growth, and that's also where your voice comes in. That's where sometimes the voice inside of you is already telling you this isn't the right.
Lancelot Theobald: Oh, absolutely. Right? Absolutely.
Jaclyn Strominger: You might be like, this isn't for me, and… And listen to that voice.
Lancelot Theobald: into the wall.
Jaclyn Strominger: Even if it comes up, if you… if it creeps in, and then it creeps back out, when it creeped in.
Jaclyn Strominger: It was telling you something. Don't ignore that.
Lancelot Theobald: Yup, absolutely. That is… that's a nugget right there, because I'm a firm believer of that. Listen to that inner voice. We all have it. Most of you ignore it, but we all have it. And if you can just listen to it, and then take action on it.
Lancelot Theobald: It will align you and give you everything that you need in order to be everything that you want, but you first have to believe.
Jaclyn Strominger: And that is so important. Belief. Believing. And I feel like that… again.
Jaclyn Strominger: it was what I was just listening to this morning as I was walking, belief. So, I want us to leave it there because it's so powerful. Believe in where you want to go, believe in yourself.
Jaclyn Strominger: Believe you can do it, believe you can have unstoppable success.
Lancelot Theobald: That's my fifth key, by the way.
Lancelot Theobald: That's key number 5.
Jaclyn Strominger: belief.
Lancelot Theobald: Belief, which is sometimes the hardest thing, is to believe.
Lancelot Theobald: But believe is, when you break it down, it's, I'm certain it's gonna happen, I'm certain I'm gonna do it, so I'm gonna do whatever it takes in order to get it done. And that is probably the hardest, is to believe, truly believe, that you can achieve.
Jaclyn Strominger: I love that. Well, and there's so many ways you can do it, and one of those things that you first said is start with your mindset and those affirmations, because you can do it. Lancelot, I could talk to you for hours about this. I absolutely adore you.
Jaclyn Strominger: You're, like, such a hero of mine now, I love it, so…
Jaclyn Strominger: Think about surrounding people who help, like, elevate you, you are so one of those people. Thank you.
Lancelot Theobald: Oh, it's…
Jaclyn Strominger: So, remind everybody where they can connect with you and learn more about all the great things that you are doing.
